Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for expressing an interest in the Hockinson PWT. Listed below are events throughout the school year that Hockinson PWT will be looking for parent volunteers. If there is a particular event you are interested in helping out with, please contact the coordinator of the event for more details. As the events draw near we will be sending out more information with specific needs.

Indoor Recess

Started November 7th and will continue through the bad weather. Volunteers are needed to help from 1:00 to 2:15 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at the Intermediate School in the room across from the front counter in the office. HMS Bingo & Auction

December 9th, volunteers are needed to help make up baskets, set up & clean up, serve food, pick up used Bingo cards, sell Bingo tickets & help with the silent auction. To help contact Jamie Rea jamietrea@yahoo.com or Tina Baertlein t_baertlein@msn.com

Run for the Arts

Usually in March/April. At the Primary it involves 6 lap counters through out the day – we can use full or 1/2 day volunteers the day of the run. Contact Kim Hull for the Primary School uschulls@comcast.net At the Intermediate we just need volunteers to help assist the 5th graders as they do most of the counting of the laps, you are there to have fun and assist where needed. Spring Dance

May 4th, volunteers are needed to help with decoration ideas.  We have some decorations and last year some teachers stepped up and had the kids do artwork which we used. We need a group of volunteers to help set up and take down decorations, someone to sell snacks, and just some adults to be in the dance area and around the school as chaperons. Other

Other volunteer options would be someone who has computer access but doesn't want to participate at the school functions, to enter the rebate contests, sweepstakes when they are on line, research grant and or donation information etc. Contact Sandy Bishop sandybishop3@hotmail.com if interested.
